Sithole is no longer suspended and is an option for the group stage finale against South Korea on June 24.
Analysis: Sithole was suspended for the second match of the group stage after a red card against Mexico, but will return this World Cup, set to be an option against South Korea. The hope for the midfielder is that he will see another chance at playing time as South Africa looks to make an underdog run to the knockouts, possibly even earning his starting role back when facing Korea.
Sent off vs. Mexico
Sithole was sent off in Thursday's World Cup opener against Mexico.
Analysis: Sithole had a very unfortunate game in this World Cup opener. Aside from losing the ball in the sequence that led to Mexico's first goal, he tripped Brian Gutierrez, who was marching clean on goal, so he was sent off. Sithole will miss the June 18 match against Czech Republic but should be available for selection for the group-stage finale against South Korea on Wednesday, June 24, as long as his ban is just one game.
