Mudau registered two crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Thursday's 1-1 draw versus Czech Republic. He also added three tackles, two interceptions, two clearances and four duels won.

Analysis: Mudau was busy defensively but still managed to leave a mark going forward with his crossing ability. Considering how overmatched South Africa have looked, however, it's not surprising to see Mudau getting most of his fantasy upside from defensive stats. He should remain in the XI for the group-stage finale against South Korea on May 24.

Mudau registered one cross (zero accurate) and four tackles in Thursday's 2-0 defeat versus Mexico.

Analysis: Mudau had to deal with the threat of Julian Quinones, who scored the opener, and Alexis Vega, so it was understandable that he wasn't going to play a big role going forward. Unfortunately for him, he was also unable to make a big impact on defense and looked outmatched by Quinones' pace and Vega's mobility. Mudau should remain the starting RB for South Africa against the Czech Republic, but he figures to have a tough matchup against a physical squad in that matchup.
